Travel Insurance Is 'Essential' For Ski Holidays
24 September 2008A good travel insurance policy is essential for anyone taking a winter ski holiday this year.
That is the advice of the Ski Club of Great Britain, which also recommends taking out a policy that provides cover for "all activities".
The organization claimed that people often get "caught out" by taking out a policy that does not offer protection for activities such as sledging, snowmobiling and off-piste skiing.
As well as taking out a travel insurance policy, other top tips from the ski club include investing in good quality boots and socks, always wearing sunscreen and staying hydrated throughout the day.
In related news, the Ski Club of Great Britain has revealed its "top family ski resorts", with France's Vaujany area topping the list.
Other family friendly resorts include Wengen in Switzerland, the pixcturesque resort of Les Gets in France and the Schladming region of Austria.
